Paloma González

P_GonzalezPhD in Art History at the University of Barcelona with the Thesis: “Prácticas artísticas digitales y tecnologías del control y vigilancia (2001-2010)” and University Degree in Broadcast Media at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid.

She has developed her professional career in the research domain by developing multimedia and audiovisual creations in several fields. She collaborates in several studios of Design, Multimedia and Consulting services.

She works as a teache specialized on New Technologies and New Media Art. She is associate professor of the subject “Evolution and basis of Multimedia” and “Multimedia Evolution” in the Multimedia Degree at UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya). She is also aggregate professor teaching the subject “Audiovisual Culture II” at BAU, Design College of Barcelona. She collaborates in the Escola Massana and has been lecturing in several universities and colleges.

She has participated as a speaker in several Congresses and Meetings related to technology, creativity and privacy. She collaborates in several publishing magazines online and since 2008 she writes on her blog Uncovering Ctrl (www.uncoveringctrl.com).
